More about the show…

Throughout the evening, Kinga Augustyn, YunRay, Iktus & PCE, DJ Flo-Pilot, RR, and Hazel Newlevant will take turns showcasing their talents for your enjoyment and renewal. The riveting violinist, Kinga Augustyn will perform the 6 Tango Etudes of PIAZZOLLA, along with "4 Capricci" by Polish composer Grażyna BACEWICZ and "The Golden Calf" by award-winning Venezuelan composer - now based in NYC - Icli ZITELLA. The masterful Iktus Percussion along with PCE present a carefully curated program that champions the works of the wistful Angélica NEGRÓN’s, “Dust”, "Immer-Inner" by the distinctive Elizabeth HOFFMAN, and "Homeland" by the active Allison LOGGINS-HULL. Under the baton of Ian Shafer, the fresh and skilled sinfonietta, Resonant Refractions will perform a program that recreates a healing sonic environment, Linus IP’s “ Healing Temple” to exploring a paradox of two standing in one place, Moon Young HA’s “somewhere fictitious”, alongside "In her dream song" by the acclaimed James DIAZ and selections from “Locales” by the accomplished Mohammed FAIROUZ.

“FAREWELL TO MYSELF” will consist of a long see-through container with soil in it, and YunRay, the performer, will bury a whole set of outfits and perform a traditional Buddhist funeral with chanting and prayer. This performance is using the set of outfits to represent the artist, and by burying himself, one can re-think the meaning of being alive and what impact one is leaving on the earth, even after one’s death.

Hazel Newlevant will be showing the original art from their graphic novella “SUGAR TOWN”, in a unique display designed to showcase their double-sided page inking technique.
